The Final Week of Loose Ends Is Here! ⏳

– Mon, Apr 06, 2026 at 04:07:51 PM
Welcome to the last three days of the Loose Ends Anthology campaign, folks! ⌚
We're excited to report that we're just three backers away from unlocking another free comic for every backer: Cthulhu Invades Neverland Preview #1!
In Cthulhu Invades Neverland Preview #1, Cthulhu infiltrates your childhood—featuring PETER PAN, HOOK , TINKERBELL, and all your Neverland favorites.
We'll unlock it for every single backer when we hit the 110-backer milestone. 🔓
In the meantime, we want to introduce you to another of our astoundingly talented creators…
🎙️Creator Interview: Tim Miller, Writer of “Open Moon”
Tim Miller (he/him) is a standup comedian, writer, and podcaster from Missoula, Montana. Open Moon is his first comic loosely based on his experiences as a small-town comedian. He is always working on something new.
We interviewed Tim about comedy, werewolves, and just trying to survive life.
What do you see as some similarities between performing comedy and writing comics?
I would say both seem like something you can do solo, and while that is true to some extent, I find that you do need support and both are better if you have people helping you.
What are some loose ends you’d like to see wrapped up, in your life or elsewhere?
I’m mostly just waiting for the Community movie that was announced like 3 years ago.
We have an exciting invitation to send to you tomorrow, so stay tuned for more updates! 📻

First Milestone Unlocked 🔓 + New Creator Interview 🎙️

Welcome back, folks!
We're excited to tell you that, when we broke the 100-backer barrier, your support unlocked the first of our free backer milestone digital comics for every backer: Brad(s)!
About Brad(s)
In this short sci-fi comic from Adriana Arignallo and Lane Lloyd, a dinner date goes sour when an unexpected guest interrupts—and he's not leaving without a fight!
Next up?
When we reach 110 backers, we'll unlock Cthulhu Invades Neverland Preview #1!
Cthulhu invades your childhood, featuring PETER PAN, HOOK , TINKERBELL and all your Neverland favorites!
While we're working our way toward that goal, now's the time to meet Zach Tallent!
🎙️Creator Interview: Zach Tallent, Creator of "Sister Mikala"
Zach Tallent (he/him) is a professional digital artist and aspiring writer. His previous work includes the graphic novel adaptation of QualityLand and “The Black-Hearted Crone” for MCC Zines’s Golden Apples and Poisoned Chalices. He is the creator of “Sister Mikala."
We talked to Zach about intentionality, interiority, and being a hero.
What comic book character do you identify most with, and why?
In a lot of ways, Superman. Especially in these hyper-connected days, it feels inhumane to not be angry all the time in the face of so much injustice, and that can lead to violence or apathy. A character like Superman, who also deals with that kind of internal struggle and has the power to enact violence or completely bury his head in the sand without consequence, yet he chooses to be good, get involved, and help people? There is something very powerful in that for me.
Thanks so much for being a part of the Loose Ends Anthology! You're bringing this epic collection to life! 🙏

Monday Meetup: 🎙️ Nate Schachter, Writer of "Behind Every Great Man…"

Happy Monday, Loose Ends Backers!
We're pleased to report that we're only two backers away from unlocking our first free backer milestone comic: Brad(s)!
So if you know anyone who loves indie comics, anthologies, diverse creatitivity, or supporting small businesses…send them the link to this campaign!
In the meantime, we're ready to introduce you to another one of our astonshingly talented creators! Scroll down to meet Nate Schachter. 👇
🎙️ Creator Interview: Nate Schachter, Writer of “Behind Every Great Man…”
Nate Schachter (he/him) is a twenty-two-year-old writer, editor, and nerd hailing from New York. A Writers of the Future and Negative Space finalist, his work blends emotional depth with inventive, character-driven storytelling. In addition to forthcoming releases with Summit Comics, Orange Cone Productions, Ignite Comics, Limit Break Press, Warden Comics, and more, Nate publishes his own independent work under his publishing banner, The Narrative Shack, which can be followed on Substack for newsletters, project updates, and more. He is the writer of “Behind Every Great Man…”
We talked to Nate about imperfection, inspiration, and why your feelings are always valid, even when they’re difficult.
“Behind Every Great Man…” is a heartbreaking look at one reality that might come along with superhuman powers. Tell us about this theme and why it drew you in.
Even the best people—even superheroes—aren’t perfect; no one is. Their partners see that most clearly. But what happens when your spouse misses an important moment because they have to save the world? You have every right to feel hurt or neglected, yet there’s no easy way to communicate it.
These kinds of tensions building up felt inevitable to me. And that in a world full of good and evil, growing resentful of your hero spouse—someone who stands for all things good—could leave you questioning your own identity, and where that world would see you on this spectrum. Because there’s even a special word for people who hate your spouse that the public uses: villain.
Thanks again for supporting the Loose Ends Anthology! You're the power behind this extraordinary machine!
